Default Old Car Festival

I was wondering if anyone is showing their Model A this weekend at the Old Car Festival this weekend at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI. This is a great weekend show with hundreds of cars from the early 1900's thru 1932. They will have open driving (capped off by a gas light tour Saturday night) and car games, pass and reviews as well as other great activitys inside the village.

Heres a link to all the shows info

I plan on being there along with my uncle and one of his 29 Model A's

I am loaded up with two vehicles ready to head that way too. First stop will be at the Archives on Friday, and then playin' in the Village streets on Sat & Sun. I guess Dodge Bros. will be the feature marque this year. By far the best "car show" in the country IMHO.

I'll be there, last year my '31 roadster broke down in the west side of Detroit, had a real good time with the residents, most never saw old cars like ours , enjoyed the conversation during my 4 hour stay (Hagerty couldn't get me a tow, so one of the guys that lived a few houses down runs a tow company and towed me in for the last ten miles!)
I'll never forget that trip and the people that helped me, a real good time.

The Saturday evening ride inside the Village is a great event, even for the spectators.

My son will have his '29 Roadster there. it's a rough car but a lot of fun. A lot of people talk to him because they see that a young guy was able to find an affordable car and gain access to our hobby. They ask him the usual questions starting with "How much is this car worth?" and he steers them into a discussion of how much it costs to get into this hobby.

The gas light tour is a amazing time. The stories and the people who exibit their cars there are second to none.

I'd love to be there. But it's a fur piece from me. If I'd started out about two weeks ago, I might have arrived on time! As it is, though, I'm a little late.

Thanks for posting pix and links.
