Default Old car festival @ greenfield village

Does anyone Have any information on the 2020 old car festival at greenfield village coming up in September . The first day that they were supposed to start taking applications was June 15 ,and then They postponed to June 29,. I looked today and again they postponed it to July 15 , .with covus 19, going on it is very understanding . And probably very difficult to refund the entrance fee . The village needs money to survive they have lost a lot of revenue in the last few months. I am not sure of what the right answer is to try and have it or perhaps wait until next year .

I Would say they keep delaying out registration in hopes that they will be able to hold the fest. but with all the covus going on everywhere i really dought they will have it this year, they really draw lots of people, although were in an out side venue it will be hard to keep people at a distance. We are really looking forward to the fest but it'll probably be next year. Hope im wrong!!

Our summer home is on the Detroit river. Everything is closed. We’re not even allowed to travel to Canada. The bridge and tunnel are closed. Not a hope in purgatory ( hell )!

The irony is that The Henry Ford was reopened last week to its' members. Next week it is open to the general public according to Patricia Mooradian. So if it is open to the public, there may still be some hope.

From the Henry Ford;

After much consideration we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Old Car Festival in Greenfield Village, scheduled for September 12-13. While we were able to reopen our campus this past week, we are unable to foresee what constraints the pandemic will place upon our ability to host large crowds and gatherings in the near future. We'll miss gathering together in September to celebrate this long-running event, but we are very grateful to welcome you back to Greenfield Village this summer.

I think you have expressed the views and sentiments of the vast majority. A damn car show is not worth dying for! Lots of car shows, only one life !
