help identifying this little part

Has anyone seen or used something like this? You drill a hole through your firewall and insert this piece and secure it with a nut. The car I saw had a small rod going through this piece and the rod was used as his choke. The rod was threaded on the end with a little knob. (see the picture with the yellow knob)

Does anybody know what this piece is called and where to find one?

You are probably not going to find just that part but universal replacement choke cables are available at your local auto parts supplier.

It's the dash end of a typical choke or heater control cable as found in most older English cars. It should have an "outer cable" coming from the small end, and beneath the spring steel clip there would have been a small steel ball which located in a series of grooves at the dash end of the inner cable. You pull out the choke cable, the locating ball stops it sliding back in (you physically push it back in one notch at a time). Anyone in the US selling parts for English cars should sell them, here in Aus we used to buy them from Moss Motors in the US.
