Default clutch is sliping in high gear how do i adjust

when driving ih high gear i give it gas it seems to be slipping in high gear the car shakes badly if i go slow on the gas it will not shake how do i adjust it thanks

Turn the three clutch finger adj screws in one full turn and test drive, another turn if needed.

Refer to Ford Service book for details. the screws are kept locked with cotter pins, use care in removing, don't drop them into the trans as that is the real devil

Be sure to turn each the same amount. You hand crank the motor over to expose each at the top of the inspection hole, so that a small right angle single-slot screwdriver tip can be inserted, I like to mark one of the screw heads with red paint to be sure I do all three...

Check for free neutral adjustment on the hand brake linkage first. If it's off the effect will be what you describe because the emergency brake linkage isn't releasing the clutch fully. It's like driving with the lever not fully forward. In other words you'd be partially in neutral and not allowing the clutch to lock fully. Check this first as it will effect everything else involving the clutch operation.
