Hydraulic brakes on 34 Ford
When using hydraulic backing plates, is it best to use 34 drums and hubs or 39-41? What about front spindles, use 34 or later spindles? I know about the kits that are avaliable but I was looking for those of you that have done it and are using a car with hydraulic brakes on a 34 Ford. Your experiences.
Thanks, |

Re: Hydraulic brakes on 34 Ford
Early Ford v/8 garage is one expert on this subject. He will probably respond. The neat part about his kit is the mounting hardware for the master cylinder. The thing bolts in with no hole drilling. You do not have to buy the whole kit.
Just saw his name on another post. Richard is his name.

is preferable, since the steering arm adaptors are made incorrectly, which causes the original draglink to be too long, and accordingly when the steering is on center with no play, the front wheels will be turning left. I have a deluxe kit available to adapt the hydraulic brakes and to install the later drums. I also have a kit to change the kingpins to get rid of the sockets. Recently posted the details...
