If you are considering buying it check out the archives here and on HAMB. I don't have any personal experience but there is some interesting reading in the archives.

A good friend had one and it was complete junk. Do yourself a favor and don't buy it.
Brand new and wouldn't set up or steer correctly, skips etc.
He wanted to take it to Hershey and put it through his windshield in front of everybody.

Ha thats him. He cut a wide path.

He marketed himself as a lasalle transmission expert also.

I wound up buying a kit of new shifter springs and detents for the '37-'39 trans. Never got it installed.

Unfortunately, before I knew the score on this guy and his steering box, I recommended a friend consider using Hot Rod John's steering box in his '34 pickup that was difficult for him to steer. He bought one from John at Hershey, installed it in his truck, and could not get it to work properly. He finally sent it back for a full refund. I felt like a horses butt for ever suggesting my friend take a look at this.

I like to use a 77 Toyota Celica Box. The input shaft is OVER the frame giving allot of clearance to the exhast. Input shaft takes a GM rag joint and the pitman arme is a Ford.. makes for a simple installation. Provides cross ster in a model "A"

I thought it was a really good idea that wasn't engineered correctly! F-1 internals in a bolt on box for a 32 what's not to like? I looked at them but thankfully never bought one!

Easier to just use a F1 box and it works! Or if you want cross steer just buy a brand new vega box.

The Vega steering box really works well.

Suppose to be F1 guts which are the same as 37 to 48 cross steer boxes.
I got a model A that was hot rodded in the late 50s and has a 40 Ford cross steer box and a flathead motor. Steers easy . Only issue was when it was done it needed a brace so the frame rail wouldnt twist when steering sitting still.

Really the best is a vega. Size and you can get a brand new one. Just doesnt have a vintage look
