Default 1936 Ford Hood Ornament

I recently tried to put a Vintique hood ornament on my 1936 Ford and had a lot of problems lining up the stainless grill strips that frame the grill and the stainless that goes up the middle of the grill not lining up with the ornament.
I think I recall a similar problem that someone had with Vintique. Does anyone have any knowledge about such a problem?
Thanks

That's how Vintique products are designed to (not) fit.
