Re: Model A Heater
I have the Autolite heater with the Autolite manifold. I would like to see a picture of what the "Correct" Autolite firewall door looks like.

Re: Model A Heater
Mine is an Otwell, love it, had to make that plate to block the heat in summer even with firewall door closed, tube between heater and firewall removed, and the bypass door opened.

Re: Model A Heater
I'm interested in the look of the Otwell . On my right hand drive model A the distributor advance retard rods privot off the inlet manifold which makes fitting of most manifold heaters impossible However the dip in the Otwell might make it possible to use it in a RHD car -Has any one tried ? Karl

Re: Model A Heater
I ran across a "Bingo" heater at Renningers. It was made in Binghampton, NY. Autolite and Ottwell are the most common.

Re: Model A Heater
I did click it. It was so small that I couldn't make out any detail. That is why I suggested photobucket so the picture would be large enough to see.

This is a Red Head Heater. Bolts onto a regular manifold.

Re: Model A Heater
Our Pepsi truck also has an Otwell Heater ... The Otwell will need a special Otwell Heater door that fits the the curves on the firewall ..It works great
( excuse the neoprene fuel line under the dash .. it was a temporary fix and has been changed back to the original line ) |
