Default 97 carb base

I have two 97 carbs one has the half moon base the other has the tringle,can they be interchanged!both have same size Ventura,only diff,is one has the winter and summer settings? This is going on a 37-38 21 stud spare engine on stand..

Chances are the one with the triangular base has the 3rd upper idle squirters and the notched venturis to match them. The highspeed airbleeds are also smaller. The two carbs will be kinda OK running together but it's always best to use two matching ones. Also, without the S and W settings on one, it sounds like you may have a 48 style throttleshaft - if not a complete 48 - on the other one.
