That is neat to see, probably some survived but nobody knows what they really are. I was expecting to see a big Ford script on it.

Seat upholstery fabric.

When Ford had remnants left at the end of a bolt, too small to upholster a seat, it got sent over to the Lap Robe people.

Most of Ford's upholstery in the model A era was made in a section of the repurposed Highland Park plant. They made up upholstery sets in kit form to send to all the various body assembly organizations and contractors.

The Highland Park plant was a pretty good sized facility and some of it still exists in Detroit. Briggs Body had a fire destroy one of their plants in Detroit so Ford rented them a pretty good chunk of the facility with no stipulations. Briggs made bodies for Chrysler and others so there were competitors bodies coming from an old Ford plant as well as Ford bodies.
