As a transporter I am privy to many scam stories, some are the standard "Send me a little money & I will send you a lot of money" Others involve transport of the vehicle by an "agent" of the buyer, etc, etc. The scumbags that prey on folks are quite creative unfortunately.

God Bless

Sold a Marklin Buick toy car to a person from the Netherlands on EBay for $1200. They contacted me and wanted my bank account and routing number which made me a little nervous and I told them so. Two days later an air express padded envelope arrived with $1200 in cash (US dollars), so you never know.

My Dad died at 101 years old and the weekend after his funeral we checked his stuffed mailbox and determined that in three days he won a total of 26 million dollars from various sources. All we had to do was to send money!!

I have dozens of these checks on my garage wall from the Craigslist scammers, I give them a new name every time. Dixon B. Tweenerlegs, Tad Mordick, etc. Play with them, string them along, tell them it did not arrive and let them send another.

If you are ever in New York look me up, I have a selection of bridges to sell you. Think of all the money from tolls you will make.
