33-34 exhaust systems
Did some searching before posting and found little info. I have an original 34 running gear and engine. Where is everyone getting the headers, crossovers, muffler and pipes. I found a company in Boone NC that looks like they know what they are doing and have good feedback.
Suggestions and comments please. Thought about just getting a local to bend it all up but running gear would need to be trailered down there and back. Rather do it myself if possible. Thanks in advance. BU |

Re: 33-34 exhaust systems
I think that you would be better off, to wait until you had the body on, and take it to the local bending shop.
It's been said, on here, that those complete systems, that are sold, are tough to fit up. MIKE (mikeburch) |

Give Mike Parker a call at 704-776-5364. His exhaust system business is just outside of Mocksville, NC. I helped him develop an entire system for '33-'34's. It includes a domed muffler made onto the "muffler inlet pipe" as was done at the factory. The only difference in his system and the factory system is mandrel bends. I have installed two of them and they fit. Best of all, it is reasonably priced. (Last I spoke with him, he was working on making original style clamps which are very hard to find as well) |

Re: 33-34 exhaust systems
I assume your looking for aftermarket tube or Fenton headers. My car has Reds steel tube headers. Someone welded a two bolt flange to the outlet pipe (usually a slip joint) . I had a full stainless 2" dual system made by "Stainless Works" in Chagrin Falls, OH. They have all my car info on computer and can rebend another on their CNC bender, Stainless mufflers and stainless turn downs on the rear. They can supply the extra flange to weld on the headers as well as clamps.
