Bearing ID
Long-shot that it's an 'A' part, but it was with a box of Model A parts I acquired quite some time ago. Been sealed in wax since '51. Really could belong to ANYTHING, but I figure worth asking. I think the measurements are 1 3/32x 1 11/16 x 1 3/4.

Re: Bearing ID
Maybe a useful part number on bearing itself? Would require opening but you would have a visual ID plus possibly a usable part number as well. Just a thought.

Re: Bearing ID
Might be a good idea to open anyway. At this point the bearing could be like new or rusted and not worth saving, but you never know. Many of the old bearing were packed in a waxed or greased type paper and more then likely are not sealed.

Re: Bearing ID
Impressive packaging to say the least. Wax-coated box--->wrapped in heavy wax paper--->another layer of heavy wax paper--->nicely greased. I'll grab a rag tomorrow and see if I can find a number.

Re: Bearing ID
It may or may not be for the transmission, the measurements sound about right.
