Default Shaw Du-All with Model A Transmission

I found this old piece of farm machinery at a salvage yard. Does anyone know what it was used for?

What ever it is, that is a great piece, and should be saved and preserved.

I have thought this about many a junkyard finds - but then the trifecta of any restoration comes to mind: Money/Time/Space - pick 2....

Unless a junkyard has several of these to get parts from to create one its a needle in a haystack to find parts for some of these oddball things that existed 70+ years ago...

I have one of these tractors. It has all the attachments including the plow and harrow. We used it for many years to cultivate our garden. It takes four spiked steel wheels for great traction and has individual left and right wheel brakes.
