' 31 Head Lights
I hate to assume but with the one bulb head light I am assuming with low beam one filament lights and on high beam two filaments light up. Since the bulb can be rotated 180 degrees does it matter which filament is high or low?
Thanks CDB |

Re: ' 31 Head Lights
Most bulbs are about 35/50 so it would make a difference. Just rotate the bulb so it corresponds with the light switch high beam. You usually can see the difference in the filiment but I always just looked at the light brightness

Re: ' 31 Head Lights
One filament (low wattage) lights up for the low beam and the filament is oriented above the higher wattage filament in the bulb holder. The high beam is centered in the focal point of the reflector. The higher wattage filament lights up for high beam. Both are not on at the same time.

Gary, everything stated there is true, except Ford never authorized 50 CP bulbs as it strains the limit of the generator.
