Default Shackles? Can I build a set?

I want to build my own front shackles for my 37 front end

I have some bronze 3/4” x 1/2” bushings. I need my links to be about 1/2” - 1”longer than stock.
I can make my shackles plates from 1/4” flatbar. I was thinking of using grade 8 1/2” bolts.
Or should I have shackle pins machined with 1/2” stock and 3/8” or 7/16” fine or course threads on the ends.

Should I make them all from stainless or is that overkill? Would mild steel be safer?
