Hi-Compression Head
As I mentioned in another recent post, I am looking to buy a 7:1 compression cylinder head. This head will go onto the Model "B" engine in my Coupe.
Previously, I put a constraint on the head, that it had to look stock, but no longer. What 7:1 cast iron heads are available new for $400 or less? Is Larry Brumfield's 7:1 head still available new?

Re: Hi-Compression Head
Not sure there are any new at that price. I got a blem 7:1 head from Tod at a discount and it was still over $500 shipped.

Re: Hi-Compression Head
Brumfield quit making heads years ago. Tod Buttermore makes a 7:1 stock looking head, but last I checked it exceeded your budget.

Re: Hi-Compression Head
As far as I know, Tod Buttermore is the only one making cast iron 7:1 heads. He has a few different ones. Stock looking, Winfield and Thomas.

Re: Hi-Compression Head
I bought a complete chassis with a Mitchell OD, cast iron drums f100 steering box, fresh engine, trans and rear end.. burned in a fire.. for 1500 bucks. I get a kick out of lowballers who want to post up and catch a deal...try better bait.

Well,.... I've seen a horse fly, and a house fly, and I even seen a rubber band, but I be done seen everything, when I see a elephant fly. (from the movie Dumbo)
I was referring to new part prices, you may get lucky and find someone who is selling off his treasure trove. |
