32 coupe exterior door handles

Hi are original 32 coupe exterior door handles the same as other 32 models? Or are these all so another rare high dollar item for me to locate? Thanks

Which coupe, 5 window or 3 window? They are different from each other.

No other '32 handle is quite the same as the bezel to attach the handle to the door is flat and those on the other closed passenger cars are curved. The '32 cabriolet handle bezel is also flat, but its shank is much shorter. The '33-'34 closed car outside door look the same and some have a long enough shank. Often as not they are chrome-plated brass, not stainless clad like original '32 handles. Bob Drake's stainless steel reproduction handle is an excellent reproduction of the original.

Like David said, don't be afraid of the Drake handles they are top of the line. I have used them on all my deuce closed cars and currently have them on my 3 window.

David, were all 1932 handles stainless clad or were some chrome plated brass. I have an original 1935-36 pickup handle that is chrome over brass.

While I've seen a lot of them, the sample size is far from being statistically significant, but within that sample the only exceptions I've noted have been some roadster/phaeton and station wagon outside handles, and trunk/rumble lid handles which were only partially stainless steel with rhe remaining exposed components chrome-plated brass. Lots of the various '33-'34 outside handles were either partially or wholly chrome plated brass by way of comparison. Starting with the '35s, some of the handles for certain body types were originally chrome-plated die castings.
