Default little trophy win

My partner Kate, and myself went to a 'Man Cave' market today in our Tudor. There was a car display on and I entered the A. Brought home the best vintage trophy. But, the thing was, we were the only vintage car on display.

It's the Rosedale-Heyfield road, about a km after the turn off at the Rosedale end.

You were the best on the day, that is all that counts. Congratulations, easy to see that you were a happy winner by the smile on your faces. Use any occasion to get your car out on the road where they belong.

If it's where I got them, they were on the car when I bought it.

Excellent beard. Seems us bearded dudes are losing out to a generation of Tattoo's. Good for you on winning the Trophy and Kate.

Unfortunately, all too common these days to be the only pre-WWII car at shows. Muscle cars are now the norm. Ticks me off that at one particular show, our two 1931's always lose to a 1927 T-Bucket street rod as the oldest car attending.

The Congratulations go to you both.
Important thing is you were together doing fun things you both enjoy and a Model A was involved. I won a similar trophy once and I was also the only car pre 1960 in a 28 Tudor. My grandson bragged about our trophy for months, he was only 6 years old. We talked about it yesterday when he was home from university, many years later. Well done. Wayne

Good job. I like that even the trophy is a Tudor.

That would tick me off too. Is it even a metal T? Or Fiberglass?

At my last little show for my Grandson's PTA Benefit at least I got beat out by a REAL T... (visible in the background)

Street rods should not be judged with real cars! They should be disallowed from the judging process except at exclusive hot rod shows. Wayne

Yup, I have an uncle who used to have a soldier settlement dairy farm at Dennison, just outside Heyfield. It is only a year or two since we had a rally through that area again and we drove it last year on our way to a funeral at Briagalong. As a kid, I spent too many hours dangling a line in Glenmaggie and Cowar Weirs.

Y-Blockhead,

Yes, the street rod had a metal tub which was the only piece from the original model T. Everything else seemed to be chrome.
