Default top gear show

Just finished watching the latest episode of Top Gear US, and in it Rutlidge (sp) turns up in a ...............................1933 Model A rat rod. I know, amazing isn't it. That after all this time, I didn't realise the A was still being made in 1933. Hope everyone here remembers this little unknown fact.

When I was young , everyone knew a Mod. A and what years they were made. Little by little, that common knowledge is being lost. I recently parked my thirty Coupe in a place and a few guys were standing outside. One of them asked me "What is it?" I told him a 1930 Model A Ford and his response was "Oh that's what they look like" "Yuup Duhh, That's what they look like!" How can anyone be so insulated that they don't know a mod. A when they see one?

I am fairly certain that Dave's statement was tongue in cheek...

Thanks Craig, even with the threat of having my head put through a window by Vivian, I was being sarcastic. If you know the TV show 'The Young Ones', you'll know who Vivian is, and the scene with him threatening to put the head of the next sarcastic person's head through a window. And that that he rips the window out of the wall and crashes it over Neil's head for being sarcastic.

Thanks Skipshift, that's the rod, if it can be called that. When it was driven into the everglades during one of the challenges, they should have left it there. It wasn't worthy of being called a rod, car or anything else but junk.
