Bob Drake
I ordered 4 items from Bob Drake online Sunday .
All 4 were shipped today on Monday. No Back Orders. That is good service. |

Man, when you can count on that nearly every time you place an order, that's the way it's supposed to be.......regularly! And if all the parts turn-out to be as advertised in the catalog, well that's way-mo-better still. DD |

Re: Bob Drake
Yes that is good service. In fact I would say it is great! That is the way it should be all of the time, not just sometimes. Personally, I try to buy my parts from suppliers such as C&G, Concoures, Early V8 Sales, VanPelt, & Carpenter. My expierence w/these suppliers has been great service all the time.- F F

Re: Bob Drake
I've used Drake in the past for his Black Friday/free shipping sales. Everything I wanted except for a Banjo steering wheel was in stock and shipped quickly. Other than that its Joe's Antique Auto in Uxbridge, MA for my everyday needs. In all fairness to Bob, none of the vendors I checked with have the Banjo wheel in stock. Probably only one manufacturer produces it and there isn't enough demand right now to justify another production run. I guess that is a sign that I don't need to spend the $$ for a wheel just for looks. And yes I still jokingly refer to him as Back Order Bob but in reality without Mr. Drake a lot of repop parts wouldn't be available for our early Fords.

Walmart sells a lot of stuff that they do not make. Much of it is (knowingly) total crap.
