Re: 94 ford carb trouble
Hello Ken, The Kit Was Purched From Mac,s, The Carb Was Soaked And Blown Out Very Clean, Yes I Agree Pretty Straight Foward, I Just Can,t Figure It Out.The Needle And Seat Are One Piece Enclosed, I Started Changing Power Valve, Needle And Seat With Other Parts That I Know Work Well In Another Carb. With No Luck And Very Little Change, Also Is There Supposed To Be A Brass Needle In The Squirt Channel ? Thank You ,Wayne

Re: 94 ford carb trouble
Wayne, You may have lost the ball bearing and keeper spring at the bottom of the accelerator pump shaft.

Re: 94 ford carb trouble
Ken Ct... may I ask who sells a quality USA made rebuild kit for the 94 carb? I keep hearing of China junk, which I agree... who has the USA quality stuff?

Re: 94 ford carb trouble
Thank You Ken ct. , who Sells a Good Kit, I Kind Of Thought I Was Working With Inferior Pieces, I Was For Sure Suspect Of The Needle And Seat. I Ask About The Needle Under The Squirter Because It Was Not There, I Put One In Out Of Another Carb, Thanks For You,re Time And Expert Advice, I Want This Thing Rite. Wayne

Re: 94 ford carb trouble
3340,
This condition can occur when excessive clearance develops between the brass throttle shaft and the base. To my knowledge there is no one single kit that has all the proper parts. Probably the closest thing to a correct kit comes from Classic Preservation Coalition....518 366 8405 or 518 374 5078....CPC is in Schenec- tady NY. You will talk to the owner Hal Houghton. It is certainly worth a phone call. Charlie ny |

Re: 94 ford carb trouble
3340,Had leakage as you describe, turned out to be the nozzle bar was not sealing due to the gasket under squirter nozzle too thick not allowing the nozzle bar gaskets to seal,as you tighten the strap bolts keep moving the n.b.back&forth to make sure they tighten up tight. The pump nozzle should also be tight,Ihad to change the gasket under nozzle to a thinner one to get every thing good&tight something you might check,Cliff.

Re: 94 ford carb trouble
3340, capitalization of the first letter in every word... is that a thing you do on your own or is your computer having an epiphany?
