what are they whats the differance and how do you identify them?

Split rims that would come apart while reparing are replaceing tires and kill are injure the person working on them

If you have an original spec 1951 F-2 having 16” wheels you do not have widow makers. No 16” wheel ever made had the Firestone RH-5° outer rims. Original F-2 16” wheels are one piece drop center style, and are highly valued by those who need them. If, however, your truck was switched to 17” F-3 type wheels by a prior owner then you do have widow makers. I agree that you will find more of us versed in the Bonus Built trucks over on FTE in the 1948 to 1956 forum.

That diagram in the earlier posting is the widow maker RH-5°. Stu
