Default Shock absorber links not lining up

When I bought my 29 Roadster the old shock absorbers were on the car but NOT hooked up. I had a rear end problem so while the car was apart I sent the shocks out to Robert Paul for rebuilding and they came back beautiful. I am just finishing putting it back together. I put the rear shocks on yesterday. The problem I have is the original shock arms do match up with the balls on the axle. Also the rear arms are slightly different - one is straight and one has a slight curve. No mater how I try putting them on the dog bone is not vertical and on one side is even twisted a little. Any ideas on what is wrong or how to fix them?? Thanks, Jim

The rear shock arms are straight. Sounds like you have a front arm (curved) installed on a rear shock.
As I recall from my recent installation, the rear links were not perfectly straight. (Up to down.) Two photos attached. You can just barely see the rear shock link in the photo but it can be seen that it is not straight up to down.
Good Day!

I believe I have a mixture. The front ones (shorter) and rear ones both have one straight and one slightly curved. Length seems to be OK but vertical alignment is slightly off.
