Default 29 Roadster Convertable Windshield

Finally got my Roadster road worthy and been taking it for some rides. I had put a new rubber seal on the bottom of the windshield. When I get up to 35-40 MPH sometimes the windshield snaps throught the frame and hits the steering wheel - scaring the daylights out of me. I have tightened the top wing nuts real tight but it still occasionaly pops in. Should there be any type of stop on the bottom of the frame to stop this? Thanks for any help!! Jim

Had same thing with my roadster. Hits your knuckles and makes you want to talk to the lord about it! Would seem like windshield sits too far up from the body, or is too short. Swing the windshield forward and where the lower rubber seal hits the body build up that area. I used thin stick on rubber body side molding strip. Was popular in the 80s and 90s. I had rolls of it at my body shop for years. Cut to length and glue it on. Will be invisible and stop the surprises if done carefully
