Installing a Fulton sunvisor
I have a 1939 pickup and want to install a Fulton sunvisor. I understand that it attaches to the rain well on each side. Does it fit inside or outside of rain well? I sure could use some help with this project. Pictures or tips will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Installing a Fulton sunvisor
I have received my Fulton 800 sunvisor and still need help installing it. I would like to know about the eight mounting screws. Are they self threading or do they have nuts inside drip rail? What size are they? Also does mount fit inside or outside of drip rail? I have everything except the eight mounting screws.

Re: Installing a Fulton sunvisor
Yes sir, that is it. I appreciate the help. Do you know about mounting screws? There are four on each side that attaches visor to vehicle. I think they attach to the rain gutter rail but can’t find out if it mounts to side of rain gutter - inside or outside of rail. Are the screws the self threading type or do they have a nut?

Re: Installing a Fulton sunvisor
One big problem is if it requires a center windshield mount. The crank open windshield doesn't lend itself to function with that. The later ones in the 50s had a roof top mount to stabilize the center section after one piece windshields were the norm in that era.

Re: Installing a Fulton sunvisor
Sorry, I should have made it clear that the installation is on my 1939 Ford pickup. I have searched but have not found the answer yet. Exactly where does the mounts on either side attach to the vehicle and what type and size are the attaching screws/bolts? The center mount is not in question. Again, thanks.

Re: Installing a Fulton sunvisor
Hi Randy. I poked around online and found this...
https://kipdf.com/fulton-sun-shield-...a4c8b45ab.html It says the screws are self-tapping, and it appears the brackets attach outside the rain channels. The instructions may not be an exact match but it seems like good information to study. Terry

Re: Installing a Fulton sunvisor
Thank you Cadillac512, I found this information but had discounted it because it doesn’t mention Model 800. I have found by studying it further, that the mount hooks in the door jam rather than the rain gutter and that is a relief, because I didn’t believe the rain gutter strong enough to hold the bracket. Many thanks. I guess the screw just has to fit in the holes and I will be alright.

Re: Installing a Fulton sunvisor
I had fulton visor on my 48 pontiac and it fit inside the rain gutter. Was held on by 3 small self tapping screws and a clamp that fit on the chrome strip in the center of the windshield. Hope this is some help.
