Hey Hugh. There is a distinct difference between Right & Left units, and you won't be able to mix them up.
On the locking pin, generally you can thread another nut onto the pin where it is almost flush and the drive the pin outward. We often use a 3X Rivet Gun (-which hits harder than n Air Hammer although they look similar) which drives them right out. |

Quote:
If you look closely at the Spindle Bolt (King Pin), you will see a round cup that is offset slightly to accept the Front Brake Shaft Housing (-some call this the Brake Actuators). This cup is offset to the front side of the axle so the end of the Brake Shaft can pivot and push downward on the Brake Operating Pin which will be located inside of the Spindle Bolt. If you were to install the Spindle Bolts backwards, the Brake Shaft Housing would not align with the mount on the Spring Perch. |

Re: Are Modern King Pins Marker Left and /or Right
Brent, Thank You for your Time. Looks to me that both King Pins are the same? I did see an "R" on one King Pin. I assume that is for the Right side-- No marking on the other King Pin.
