Son in law put the pic up for me of this RHD air cleaner that came with the car. Ignore the green paint on the lid. It goes up from the B carby and sits above the engine. The bracket attaches to a head stud. I presume it had some sort of mesh inside.

The later Russian GAZ-AA and GAZ-MM used a similar type air filter mounted on the firewall....so maybe something like that would work for a RHD Model A.

Here's an excerpt from the GAZ-AA parts book showing that air filter components:

Manuel. What you have there is a genuine 1933-1934 4 cylinder Ford Right Hand Drive air cleaner. There is a similar air cleaner for the 32 4 cylinder unit however the top is slightly more domed. Unfortunately neither two will fit the Model A vehicle there simply is not enough room. Justin’s pictures appear to be the Ford air cleaner offered as a accessory at the Ford dealer. VERY RARE by memory they were made by a company by the name Burgess. I think the RHD air cleaner Manuel has was also made by Burgess. There is a company here in Australia currently making the Model A RHD air cleaners

This has been a great discussion. We have our National Model A Rally in 4 weeks, covid permitting, and I am hopeful we may see that particular vehicle again, and I can get some further details.

Model A's don't leak oil they just mark their territory.
