Re: Vicky bracket ?????
I do not think they were for the visors, but if so, the headliner is already installed.
They are pretty heavy brackets, so they might be for extra reinforcement in the floor, but I do not know where. When I got the car, in 2003, most of the floor was gone, these brackets were attached to something, but I don't remember where. I blasted and painted the parts, and they were put in a box with a bunch of other parts. I said to myself,......"self, you can remember where these go, no need to mark them"..... |

Re: Vicky bracket ?????
I thought that may be they were for the spare tire carrier, but they are not. May be they were a "farmer fix" and not original to the car.

Re: Vicky bracket ?????
JW, you could be right, I parted out a S/W 4 door not long before I got the Vic. Maybe that's what it's for.
In the Swap meet stuff it will go.... Thanks all, Don |

Re: Vicky bracket ?????
I think it is the brace or bracket on the top inside for a sport coupe that holds the top bow out

Re: Vicky bracket ?????
It may go the the roof framing structure which would be above the headliner. Can't do anything it now that the headliner is installed. Ed

Nope. The two rear braces go between the belt rail and the main bow and are bent on only the bow end. The side braces go between the rear door post (B-pillar) and the main bow and are bent only on the door post end. The bow end is curved, rather than bent at an angle. They also have a third hole near the center of the bar for a rivet to attach the cardboard that shapes the top. |
