Re: Clutch pressure plate help
You probably aren't doing anything wrong. You just need to adjust the fingers.

Re: Clutch pressure plate help
that was very interesting but i dont under stand what is ment by the "cover"
"adjust the nut until you get a distance of 11/16", measured from the top face of the rear of the lever, down onto the cover. |

Re: Clutch pressure plate help
the cover is the outer part of the pressure plate. lay a straight edge across est the outer surface of the pressure plate and measure down from there to the arm where the throw out bearing makes contact. that should be 5/8 or 11/16

Is it possible you have the disk installed backwards?

Re: Clutch pressure plate help
A piece of aluminum channel threaded for a bolt and lock nut makes adjusting the fingers easy. I set the bolt for a depth of 5/8" to 11/16", lock the nut and then use a thin feeler, such as .010" to feel each arm for a slight drag when it's properly adjusted.
