Default I Need Help Please with some repair advice

Replaced ignition switch on my 31 Model A Roadster and now the car will not start (it started before with the old one)

I have spark at the points and then smoke is coming out below the point set inside of the distributor for some reason.

Can someone help me with the wiring route from the switch to coil to distributor not sure if I've crossed something or not....

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

"Sounds" like you may have the wiring correct but the ignition cable has been screwed into dist. body a bit too far and bent the contact inside. You'll need to remove upper dist. plate to get at the bent contact and straighten it out a bit. Then should redo the timing, since the cam needs to come off. Hope this helps.

Um,... if you have smoke coming out of the distributor it needs more than the timing reset. You need to pull that distributor apart to see what is going on.

A fuse block mounted at the starter will prevent all the smoke from coming out of your wires. They only put so much into them and once you let it all out things don't work anymore.

I hope you saved all of the smoke, it is expensive to replace!

The wires on the back of the switch can ground out on the gas tank, I solved this issue by using several layers of electrical tape behind the switch on the gas tank.
