Changing Crab Distributor Points
I'm doing this for the first time and do I have to remove the plate with the points on or bend a screwdriver to get those two screws holding the springs on? There is a retaining ring that looks like it can be pried out and then remove the timing screw. Anything else? Thanks.

That's it.
Timing screw out. Retaining ring out. Points plate out. Nice and simple. Mart. |

Re: Changing Crab Distributor Points
Yes, it was out. Points are in, all set. Thanks. Funny thing was, it had new points and rebuilt from a guy on *Bay, 6 years ago. I just was checking the gaps and noticed one of the stationary point contacts was loose. Looked like it was staked in the plate. Some cheapo crap. The new NAPA points are much better constructed.
