Re: Paint Code AKS 1956 Ford Fairlane
When there are multiple color code letters the 1st letter is the predominant exterior color, then the secondary.
From the link below: A = Raven Black, K = Fiesta Red, and S was used to note "Styletone", stainless trim separating the colors on the Fairlane models. See the "Color Code" description on PDF page 10 (document pg 18) at this link... https://thecvaonline.com/howtos/DataPlateDecoder.pdf https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorco...et+Paint+Codes |

Hi dmsfrr!
I must have an incorrect source for color. It lists K as a brown |

There are 2 different sets of page numbers, the page numbers of the PDF window and misc numbers that aren't printed on all the document pages.... I'm using the 'PDF window' numbers. Scroll down to page 6 of 11, the '56 Passenger Car page, the Two-Tone Colors section. https://thecvaonline.com/howtos/DataPlateDecoder.pdf . Last edited by dmsfrr; 02-20-2021 at 07:34 PM. |
