Default 55 ford station wagon lift gate striker plate

I am having trouble in closing the lift gate on my wagon.I have to try about 4 to 5 times before it lathes on.The striker plate is pretty worn off. I found the striker plates for the tailgate but I don't need those,I need the one on the Lift gate.Does anyone here have the oem part # for this part? Or,maybe somebody here has the part and may want to sell it. I have checked with several vendors but none have it,only the 2 that are used in the tailgate.
Thanks for any info or help that I can get.

Can the existing latch be restored?
Is there a machine shop local that could fabricate one for you?
Where I work if a part needs to be replaced and it cannot be purchased our fabrication department will make a replacement.

The part number may be: B5A-5943102-C

If it is what I'm thinking, I sometimes see them on Ebay...

Thanks for your replies.JW,the latch assembly looks like mine but I don't need that part.
The 2 strikers that are shown in your link, are used on the left and right side of the taigate, not the lift gate. The lift gate only uses one striker plate.
I will keep looking.I do appreciate all of you guys help.

Thanks JW for your help. Yes,the big part (Latch) is ok on mine.Years ago the star wheel was bad and a guy in phoenix replaced it and it still works ok.That little part,I call it a striker plate,is what I need.Mine is all worn out and have to keep slamming the lift gate pretty hard to get it to close right. I have not found one yet but still looking. Like I said,I don't need the big part here in the image but if the two are available at a good price,I might just buy both. There is a guy on ebay that has the big part and also the two striker plates,Left and Right but I don't need those.
If you find the little part,is it a striker plate? Let me know and i'll buy it. Thanks for your help.

poolplayer, from what I understand you need the striker plate for the tail gate center? If so it is the same piece that is used for the right side striker plate of the tail gate.

You need one of these for the center of the tail gate for the lift gate latch. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1953-1954-1...AAAOSwhqhaAg0d
