Default 1935 Ford headlight mount

I'm repainting my '35 ford sedan. When I pulled the headlight buckets there was 6 large flat washers and a lock washer on the mounting bolt. Is this correct ? I thought that it should have a heavy spring. If it uses a spring, where can i get one. Thanks for the help.

You need to ask on the Early V8 forum. This section is for questions about the site not car. Few look here and even fewer reply.
