I'm looking for a timing tag for an ISKY LDB on a 59a style cam Has approximately .290 lift

If the lift is accurate, that's an odd one for I believe that less lift than a stock cam has.

Most stock cams have .307" or more lift.

Sides of bearing journal & lobe almost look like finish of a steel cam.
Bolt on gear makes it not a 60 unless had custom cam & gear but poster states it’s 59Ab

I believe that is an Ardun cam and it stands for "Long Duration Bigalow". Looks like it is a steel core cam - maybe created from a 32 billet. Not much lift . . .

Original specs for the GMC 6 LDB were:
In 26/65
Ex 65/26
Cam lift .285
In cl .018
Ex cl .018

Isky adapted the grind to many different engines. The reason it worked so well was the fairly high lift velocity. It made a lot of power at the mid to top end and would turn 8500 in the 270 Dodge hemi I had one in for road racing.
The pictured example is very likely for an Ardun conversion.

Does an Ardun conversion have push rods and rocker arms ? If so, that would explain the low cam lift since the rockers were probably around a 1.5:1 ratio.

Original Ardun rocker arm ratio is only 1.2:1.

Using that ratio, it would give you .348" of lift.

To put that in perspective, a stock Ford cam has a lift of .307, while the Isky MAX-1 has a .364 lift. This may not be a direct comparison, because we don't know how the lifts on the respective cams were measured.

I know nothing about how to set up Arduns, but after watching the IronTrap video and hearing what Ronnie Roadster said, there can be clearance issues with the push rods when using a "performance" cam on these units.

Curious at what lift does the clearance issue come into play.
