Default 34 roadster Top Iron Mount

Top iron holes in the top door edge are square. What is the orientation? Per the attached pix the red line is centered parallel to the top edge and "A" aligns with the corners and B aligns with the flat edges. Same Question for the rearward hole on the door. ANY pix of untouched original would be great. Thanks in advance for the help

Hey Ed , I don't have mine handy but I'm pretty sure they will only fit one way with the tab on the bottom .

Ed, As David said, they can only be mounted one way. When you screw the bottom of the socket into the wood in the door frame, everything aligns itself.

See image.

Ed before you put the door panels on orient the female plug to your side curtain irons (Do you have the side curtains already?) Before you screw the holder down on the front of the doors wooden frame make sure it matches up well with curtain attachment that attaches to the front stanchion (behind the round bead). On the rear basically the same principal applies, orient the iron in the plug to match up against the rear side curtain flap. Keep in mind that the door has to open without any impedance of the other parts of the side curtains attached. By the way the plugs have a flat part that attach to the wood so really they go on only one way ( I wish I had the second chance before i put the door panels on to tweak them myself). Ed there is some play in the plug to the iron try to compensate for that play if possible. Buy your Irons from Roy at FordBolts.com for the proper angles and fit!
