Chickasha OK swapmeet

I find myself being in Oklahoma about the time that the Chickasha OK swapmeet will be going on and wonder if any of you Barners can tell me any thing about this meet. I will be hundred + miles from it and wondering if it might be worth the drive. It is May 9 thru 12th Starting Wed. 1:00 pm ??

Lots of stuff gets sold with sellers waiting in line to get in at the March meet! Come early.

if you are talking may, its not the prewar meet. that meet is in early march. its a good one, but not huge like hershy. there are several swaps at the fair grounds there, but only one pre-war. google up prewar chickasha

all of the meets are worth the effort , there are meets in Duncan and Norman okla .too sometimes the weather is difficult during the rainy season, Just carry an umbrella and rain boots. see ya there!

Thanks for the heads up, it sounds like I should try to make it since I am planing on being in Oklahoma that time of year.

Yep, likely worth driving 100 or so miles to get there. I have been going to it for probably 25 years and the last few I have been at are like most swap meets and not as good as they used to be. However, you just never know.

Is this because the parts supply we have been accustomed to is getting thinner as time goes by?--In Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Nebraska, the swap meets I go to have very little pre 1940 Ford V8 anything--I look for no improvement, but I still like to go!

The last Chickasha Swap in October 2017 was quite a bit larger than in past years. It made me more optimistic after seeing the swaps decrease, the last few years. The Spring meet is May 10-12, the Fall meet is Oct. 18-20, and the Pre-War meet is March 16-17.

Does anybody have any pics from any of the past swap meets? I would like to see any that you might like to share. I currently have family in Oklahoma & if I had known that this swap meet existed I would have rearranged my past travel there. Thinking on my future trips now. Bill

Is there a listing of these annual meets anywhere? Would love to go to those that are relatively close to the Kansas City area, but don't know the when's & where's.

check out chickasha antique auto swap meet and there should be the forms and a flyer, that is what I have fond it listed as in the past , Been trading there since 1978.
