Default Ford Logo

I made a Ford Logo to put on a tool box I made. It is 7 1/2 " wide and 2 1/2 " high. My wife did a great painting the "FORD" on it but now I woud like to put the white ring around the outside edge. I don't think I could paint it on. Thinking of trying to find some thin white tape to glue on but am open for any suggestions. Thanks, Jim

Just make another blank oval out of white that is slightly bigger in diameter than your oval and place your oval on top of it.
That's a great oval. Nice job.

I applaud your and your wife's craftsmanship but wouldn't it have been easier to just buy a sticker or a modern replacement grill/trunk badge? Anyway, how about pin stripe tape? It's pretty durable and most auto parts stores have it.

Considering some of the accounts I've heard about some of the "stiff-arm" enforcers over in the Chevy world, Bob's point may not be that far-fetched. That's a really nice sign you's guys have created there, but you might be just a little selective as to how you show it around. It's a "crack-suckin' " world we're livin' in any more, folks. Seems like nearly everybody has lost their minds, and one's gotta be prepared for an attack by the crazies from any direction any more. DD

3D print the oval with the lip on it and set your logo into it. Problem solved!

May a paint pen. You should be able to get one with a fairly fine tip. Hold a finger on the outside edge of the oval to use a 'scribe guide'. That looks very nice what you have done so far. I say let the Ford guys come and get it from you if they dont like that you made something without license, LOL. I doubt it really applies unless you try to start selling them.

Finished product. Not a professional job but I'm happy. The outside circle is a piece of thin plastic that I painted white they took the circle pattern and cut the plastic. Glued it on and it came our great. I'll let it dry for 24 hours then put it on the tool box i made. I will post a picture of the finished product. Thanks for all the comments. I think Henry would be ok with the yankee inginuity...lol
