Is a conventional or modern style distributor cap only available from the Model A parts suppliers?

I use the standard distributor cap, but have converted it to use modern plug wires as I have also converted to a 12 volt system. I use the modernized internal components as well with the modern points and condenser that provided greater reliability. Henry was not wrong, but l need more assurance to get to work on any given dayl

Something like the first one could be used at both ends if you wanted to stay with original style body.

I believe that NAPA can get both original and conventional distributor caps plus most other mechanical parts for the model A . My experience has been that model A parts are much less expensive when purchased from model A parts vendors .
