Default Spark plug Wire

I have some Spark plug Wire , On the Wire it say 7mm Spark plug Cable. When I removed the insulation the wire strains looks to be Silver. As I remember 60 Years ago I thought the Strains were Copper. I might be wrong just thought someone might know. I will put it under a Microsope in the morning to see if it is Plated. Thanks for any info. PS Back in the day 50s I recall using Packard 440 Wire if I remember correctly. Thanks Stan

Maybe its tinned? Try scraping it to see if its copper underneath.

Packard 440 solid core wire still available. This is one source but there are other sources as well.
