Reading this thread reminds me of the “Valve Job” I started in 2002. I have a ‘69 Mach 1 that needed a valve job. A week after starting the project, the car was just a bare shell, not a bolt left on it. It took about 8 years to finish it—a full rotisserie restoration with subtle modifications. My buddies still give me grief about that. I am now very aware of project scope creep—the experience even helped me focus with my work life.

Well, now that I have that sorted....Here's a stupid question..Where in the transmission is brass? My trans now is grouchy and refuses to hold oil, and in the drippings is a metric butt load of brass. I pulled the plug, and I thought i had struck gold! poor ole gal.
