Default 6’2”

I’m 6 ft 2 in tall, and I got my first chance to sit in the driver seat of a 1930 coupe this evening for a few moments. (I didn’t get the opportunity to actually drive the car.) I was surprised at the snug fit. Is the seat adjustable? Does the Tudor or Fordor have any more room for the driver than the coupe?

Tudor has more room. You can easily modify the seat mount to move it back 3 inches.
Good Luck

I'm 6' 2" and ~195 lbs. I have a '30 Fordor Sedan. I moved the front seat back 3" and bent the shifter 1-2" to the right to give me more leg room. Still plenty of leg room in the back seat.

I have driven Coupes, Roadsters and PUs and they are all just too tight for my liking.

I'm 6' 4" 210lbs 36" inseam. I've tried a pickup, its dangerous! Can't get my legs to cooperate in the confinement. My Fordor was very tight too. I moved the seat back, made a big difference. Was driving one day and was having trouble with the shifter too close to my leg, got disgusted with it and pulled over, grabbed the shift lever about 6 inces from the floor and bent it over where I wanted it! No trouble since.

When shopping for my Model A I discovered that the Victoria has the widest doors (I can now get my size 13 shoes in the car! My fused back didn’t take kindly to the original seats so I bolted in some angle iron and installed a set in a set of Honda Prelude seats. I now cruise around in comfort!

Given a couple hours I could restore it to stock setup if I were to sell the car.

Dunno about Tudors and Fordors but I had an early-30 Sport Coupe that had adjustable seat - I'd guess regular coupes do as well. I'm 6' and with the seat all the way back, I could reach the pedals but any farther back would have been a stretch.

I have a 31 sport coupe and am 6'2" around 200. I have the seat as far as back possible without modification, I slide across the seat to get my feet and legs in then slide under the wheel. It's tight, but I can make it work.
I also sat in a PU as though I was driving....Nope, not for me.

Have a 30 Tudor. I am 6'4', 225#. I used the longer brackets and still moved the drivers seat back a couple of inches by relocating those extended brackets. Plenty of legroom both in front and back.
It's not a question of "can I drive it", but of will I be comfortable and able to SAFELY operate the pedals? Chap

Billebob,
Can you post some pictures of the Honda seat installation in your 190A. I need to do this.

Yes, with the '30 Standard Coupe some people have removed the package tray and moved the seat further back. You gain 3 - 4 inches.

My Coupe is unmodified. I am 5'11" and have the seat adjusted all the way back.

Good luck,

Ken

I'm 6"4 230lbs and have no issues in my 31 coupe. My car is a "hotrod" as some might call it. What I did was removed the package tray and used the middle seat out of a late 80's early 90's Chrysler minivan. I used an adjustable seat rails kit from speedway. There is plenty of room in a coupe if you're not afraid of change.
