Default 37 generator wire

Rebuilt my generator, would like to confirm wiring from brushes, and field coil to cut-out. Have red and black wires coming out of generator. Thanks Bruce

The red wire goes to the rear terminal on the round cut out. The black wire goes under one of the cut out mounting screws for a ground connection. Inside the generator that black wire should be to one end of the field coils. The other field end wire goes to the third brush terminal screw. The other end of the red wire goes to the main insulated brush terminal. The other brush is the ground brush and should have a flexible copper earth cable on it which grounds under a rivet on the end plate. Regards, Kevin.
