Default Is an Exhaust Gas Analyzer reading changed by having Ethanol in the "Gas"?

I have an Exhaust Gas Analyzer from 1969.

Is an Exhaust Gas Analyzer reading (percentage of CO) changed by having Ethanol in the "Gas" when compared to a reading with non-ethanol gas from 1969 ?

Thinking out loud here:
I suppose that there is so much other different crap in the fuel now that it would be hard to figure out what change is doing what to the CO readings.

It is claimed that the ethanol "oxygenates" the fuel ... does that make mixture leaner I suppose?

My Coupe had a "Tiger in the tank" provided by Humble Oil Company !!!
