1928 Sedan not really special except to me
My grandfather always had a strong love for the model A.
Naturally as a young child I thought it was silly only corvettes are cool. However, when I was 16 and my Grandfather passed away my love for a sbc faded and I felt that I would do him a disservice not to are for his car. While this sedan wasn't his "nice" car, a very clean 31 Vicki it was his favorite. So for the last 11 years I've taken care of it and kept it up through high school graduation, my wedding, local cruise/shows until y grandmother finally wanted to sell it so I couldn't stand the thoughts of it being a street rod I bought it and hopefully will continue to have a lot of fun. While my grandfather wasn't much on computers there are probably a few people on this boar that knew him or my great uncle Roy Frost. Anyway I want to thank everyone for all the help I've received from reading here over the years, hopefully I will get pictures first try. |

Thanks, it is a nice car over all, I'll find more pictures or take some. There a lot of neat stories with the car, and I have alit of the paperwork from when it was restored in the 70's. I'm just thankful for my Uncle and a few friends to help me get it going again.

Nice car. And it is special, more than perhaps you realize right now. Keep it. Drive it. Love it. I got my Tudor when I was 16 and still have it, along with 53 years of memories of girlfriends, marriages, children... My life. It owns me now more than I own it.

Nice car. It's my favorite body style. I did not know your grandfather but I know Roy. He's a class act and a true southern gentleman. Welcome to fordbarn.

Re: 1928 Sedan not really special except to me
I always had plans to flathead and overdrive, but when it came to time I found that the charm was all it's own. I have a trans am and camaro if I need to go any faster. JCrossman I was actually at Roy's Saturday, I wanted to go see him after he got out of the Hospital. Thanks for the warm wishes everyone, I've been in the A hobby for several years now and always enjoy the looks from old guys when a young guy pulls up chug a lugging.

Very nice looking Tudor and I wish my Tudor looked that good. There is something about the 28-9 Tudors that is pure simple beauty, and that why my first Model A was the same.

Re: 1928 Sedan not really special except to me
I really like the way your '28 Tudor looks and that's the look I want mine to have. I am going to fill in both wheel wells on the fenders and put the spare back where it originally was when it was new.
I'm going to repaint, but probably will keep my wheels the light green. You have a very nice Model A. |

I believe people should be able to what they want with their cars, but let me say thank you for saving this Model A from being chopped. I like them the way Henry built em. Nice Car keep her forever.

Re: 1928 Sedan not really special except to me
Youngtudor - I have a twin and enjoy it every ride. Today it was one of 10 A's that were lucky enough to display them to the students of a regional high school class here on Cape Cod, Ma. The students seemed to appreciate the history, various model discussion, and the operating components of the Model A. Enjoy yours and especially the family history of it. Never - ever - rod it out as the original A will have many heads spinning over the next few decades. Our club (Model A Club of Cape Cod) is dedicated to the preservation of the Model A and it's effect it had on America - especially during the trying years of the Great Depression. Once
you modify it the car will not hold the memories of our automotive history. Enjoy! |

Re: 1928 Sedan not really special except to me
Yougtudor, welcome! You have an absolutely beautiful car there. Don't be tempted to drop a V-8 in there as it won't be the same. You won't like it after awhile and wish you had not done it. Besides, these are great chick magnets and you will have to answer to you grandfather one day....Ok I am done with my sermon. Just keep driving her and you will get all sorts of looks.
Mike
