1948 mercury brake interchange
Been told these are the same as some F-1 trucks is this true? Looking at buying a 48 merury convertable and trying to line up some parts in advance.

Quote:
No. Ford and Mercury used the same Lockheed brake up through '48. The '48 F-1 used the new Bendix design brakes that had been used on Lincolns. |

Re: 1948 mercury brake interchange
Lockheed brakes were 12" so were the Lincolns.
F1 brakes were of the Bendix self energizing type, same as the Lincoln but the F1 brakes were 11"
