Default Lighting Switch Enclosier

I did get the three main lights to work. Rear two (brake - running) will not light.
I did assume I had the standard foreign housing and according to the repair memo, I ground about .025 “ off - still NG. If, I install the two sections according to the protruding tabs, I can’t even turn the switch handle. Any suggestions ....?

Since both your brake and running lights both don't work I suggest you check your rear light(s) for good grounds. The brake light wire actually just takes a free ride thru the switch and is connected directly to the battery terminal.

Note from Snyders Model A:
The first issue we found was with the 3 detents where the contact ring sits when the switch is in the OFF position. The detents in the black plastic were too large and too deep. This causes the switch to be difficult to rotate from the OFF position. Using a sharp knife or small burr, taper the edge of the hole where the contact ring needs to rotate in and out of the hole. Be sure to leave a flat area between the detent and the brass contact next to it. This is not a prob-lem with original Ford contact rings.

I did assemble the enclosure backed out a few thousands of an inch, taped it there and I was able to turn the switch handle and both head lights worked, but no power to the brake switch or the rear running light. ?????

The brake switch has battery voltage at all times. It switches battery to the brake light(s) when the pedal is depressed. The tail light(s) are powered in any of the three lighting positions.
