We’re front armrests optional on a 39? I see pictures of 39s with and without. Mine doesn’t have them but my interior isn’t original.(and I didn’t put the the apostrophe in “were”)

I have a 39 Deluxe tudor sedan, with the complete original interior and it has one armrest on the drivers door only.

39 Std did not have front door arm rest. The Dlx did have one as standard equipment on the drivers side. The front arm rest R or L is NOT shown as a option or accessory.

My 40 did not have them. But at the Time Drake had a set for sale. Worked well and they were available and not hard to install

maybe irrelevant to the original question, but my '40 deluxe coupe had one on each door.
