Default Identify Carburetor engine applicationa

Can anyone identify the application for my carburetor? I recently purchased 65 Mustang has 6 cyl engine with I believe is the wrong Autolite A100 carburetor. I found part number "C3YF A" stamped on the body. This indicates to me it has 1963 application. I believe the complete part number is C3YF 9510-A. The Ford catalog shows a 65 part number for the vehicle.

Right now the vehicle when is fully warmed up it is almost undriveable at speeds under 25 miles/hour. It is a herky jerky bucking bronco. It leans out with the intake manifold/carburetor directly above the exhaust manifold.

A C3YF-A is for a 63 170 manual trans Comet. It may work on your Mustang but it should be a C50F-E,N manual or a C50F-F,R for a auto.
I had a lot of Falcons and I had a lot of trouble with the upper and lower bodies coming loose. May just need to tighten it up.
